## Activities at the facility.

### Breakfast with water lilies.

Every Saturday morning at 9 a.m. we meet for a short breakfast and a guided tour of our water lily, Lotus and aquatic plant production ponds. We have so many colors and varieties, Simone is an enthusiast and in 20 years has collected and grown a spectacular collection of hardy and exotic plants. Some specimens are available for sale, but most are just to be admired, a treat for the eyes and the heart.

_Every Saturday from June 18 to September 17 by reservation, duration 1 hour 30 minutes. Maximum 15 participants, €18 per person, including breakfast._

### Historical cuisine tasting evening: the Watering Can Diaries.

To end the week on a high note, Podere le Vispe is organizing a storytelling with tastings dedicated to historical cooking in 4 installments.

Each evening will be devoted to a particular theme, from prehistory to the present day: you will enjoy stories of kings and peasants, crisp anecdotes, and surprising recipes related to cooking and food through time.

Paola, a lover of historical gastronomy and storytelling, has brought together her passions and 25 years’ experience in theater to offer a special evening in which 3 primary senses, taste smell and hearing, come together.

## What to do around Podere Le Vispe.

### Adventures in nature.

The **Via Francigena**: from Rome to Canterbury by foot or bicycle, passing through Podere Le Vispe. Just below our olive grove, every day we see modern pilgrims along their route. Visit the **Montemarcello Regional Nature Park**, try a **trek to Campocecina** where you can see marble quarries and a breathtaking view of the Gulf of La Spezia. Make a few stops on the **Trekking Lunigiana** trail, a beautiful loop through forests and valleys; plus Paintball in Sarzana, horseback riding in Fosdinovo, wind surfing, diving, and more.

### Tourists not by accident.

In a few minutes you can reach **La Spezia** or **Carrara**, in less than an hour’s drive you can easily reach **Lucca** and **Versilia**, **Levanto** or **Varese Ligure** and the green oasis of **Val di Vara**, **Pisa** with its beauties and the **Certosa di Calci**.

A stone’s throw from **Porto Venere** and the **5 Terre**: a boat trip along the steep and craggy coastline, covered with garrigue and Mediterranean scrub, with dry stone walls supporting terraces of vines and olive trees , you will discover the 5 pearls of this stretch of coastline, the living postcard enchantment of Liguria.

How far is it from the sea?

We are 5 km from the Marinella and Fiumaretta beaches, a 15 mn walk away there is a public service to the beaches. We also offer a bicycle loan.

How to get to Portovenere?

By car it is 40 mn, 10 mn walk there is a direct bus line to Portovenere, other solution in Spezia there is the boat.

How to reach the 5 lands?

The easiest solution is to take the train in Sarzana.
